Pass a Clean Debt Ceiling Bill
Time is running out in Washington and no compromise bill is coming. The best way to avoid default is for reasonable members of both parties to pass a "clean" bill that simply assures the rest of the world that America pays its debts.
Most Democrats in the House have already signed on to a bill that does just that. And more and more Senate Republicans are indicating that they agree that we can't let America default.
But we have to seize this opening before it's too late. Rebuild the Dream and MoveOn are doing a joint petition to Congress telling them to end this hostage standoff, now. Add your name.
