MoveOn has worked with Human Rights Watch on campaigns to preserve the constitution and protect human rights in America and abroad.

Advancement Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is a policy, communications and legal action group committed to racial justice founded by a team of veteran civil rights lawyers in 1998.  They have pursued critical litigation to protect voters and also support grassroots movements for universal opportunity and just democracy in the areas of education and immigrants' rights.  Move On has worked with Advancement Project to stop vote suppression, especially among minority folks.

MoveOn has worked with CCR to hold President Bush accountable for his unconstitutional acts, from illegal wiretaps to Guantanamo. Civic Action
to Civic Action Civic Action, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization, has engaged in citizen actions such as protecting public financing for NPR and PBS, its Media Corps project to spot distortions in the media, and other work aimed at bringing real people back into the democratic process by making sure legislators hear their voices. Note: Gifts to Civic Action are NOT tax-deductible and will not be matched.

1 Donations Rules

Donations to the Brennan Center for Justice, Human Rights Watch, Advancement Project, and Center for Constitutional Rights are tax-deductible to the full amount allowed by law. Donations to these groups will be matched up to $300,000, per group, by both the Open Society Institute and Atlantic Philanthropies. Donations to Civic Action are not tax-deductible and will not be matched.
